Flight Training
Sport Pilot Certificate
Sport Pilot training is a practical pathway into light-sport flying. It can be a strong fit for students focused on recreational flying in ABEC aircraft and local training operations.
Instructor time is $65/hr. Each ABEC aircraft is $100/hr. Schedules are anytime by request on Flight Circle.
FAA Requirements
Common starting requirements.
- No minimum age is required to begin training.
- At least 16 years old to solo.
- At least 17 years old to earn a Sport Pilot Certificate.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- FAA minimum flight time is 20 hours. ABEC-specific expectations are pending confirmation.

- Instructor rate: $65/hr
- N322VR aircraft rate: $100/hr
- N154VR aircraft rate: $100/hr
